Who are the people commonly associated with this case?

First of all, I would like to apologize to all of you because I am late to post the new entry. I failed to find a suitable time to post this entry. My bad. So, let me start our discussion for our first research question.

Baby dumping is a crime that always is a header on a front page of paper nowadays. This story relate to one of the most frightening realities in our culture today. As we know, this case is associated with certain people such as:

-Younger generation:
~ The culprits mostly among young mothers. Logically, there are no older generation reported involved in this case and dump their baby, right? That is why we pointed at young generation only. So, do not blame me for this! You guys can think by yourself. (My reason is logic right?)
~ As of all us know, younger generation (we can describe them as a teenager), they are immature and cannot make the right decision. When problem come up, usually they used to choose the simplest and fastest way to solve their problem. This condition makes them to choose to dump away their baby as long as no one knows.
Most of the young people have the same way of thinking. (My opinion is proven now!)

-Pregnant girl who has rejected by her own family and society
~ As a human, of course it breaks the heart if one of the family members makes something that is very shameful. According to this situation, families and communities struggle to accept the pregnant girl out of wedlock. It is such rejection that drives some women to dumping their newly born children. What we can conclude here is family play important role and is needed in every situation. So my opinion is;

“Do not dump your own family so that they will not dump their own baby”

It such a right quotes right? *lol*

-Family of the pregnant girl
~ We cannot blame on a person only. There have other reasons behind the scene. Family also is the one of the doers. They feel shame because one of the family members do something that illegal. People will not respect them anymore and always keep talking about this matter if they know. To avoid this thing to happen, some of them will force the pregnant girl to dump her baby after give birth. To be accepted back in her family, the girl will do anything because the situation that she face with.
In this context, family is still playing a role even though it is the negative one.

-The boy – father to the baby
~ Once they know that his girlfriend is pregnant, some of them will make a thousand and one excuses to leave the girl. Otherwise, they will find another alternative to solve their problem in the best way he can find. Most of them have a short thinking about this. Throw the baby is the common way they will choose. This is because the boy will feel scared and panic so that they choose whatever way that relevant to him to solve their problem that he created.

This is all that I’ve got. If you guys have additional point to add, please do so. So, what is your opinion? Do you agree or disagree? Or you have another point to talk about?

Hye lala,

i am totally agree with all your points and the qoute as well..
for me,i don't know who should be blamed...

in my mind,i think that all the people that u said just know is the people who should be blamed..

it is because every single person that u mention is linked to each other...what i mean is,when the teen is pregnant,it is either she was not taught well,or herself...again,it is about the family...also,the society...when the society give the negative perceptions to the unwed lady, she will become more stress as she is tend to dump the baby...here again, the role pf the society...the society do not know whether the pregnancy comes from her fault, but what if she was raped???????

still the society wants to give bad reactions to her???

raping!!.....how devil that person...i'm sure if she was rapping, that might be difficult to her. how can she stand with her problem while people keep talking about her pregnancy...

talking about rape....hmmmmm...

"people will not sympathy to her"

**i don't agree with that**

rape is about power, not sex..because rape is forced, unwanted sexual intercourses....and i believe if the person has been raped,it is not their fault and they should reporting the crime imediately and fighting to see the rapist brought to justice....

once the issue being reported, people would know about it..and they will get sympathy towards the victim and her family..
however, the most important thing for the victims to do is deal with her feeling...if she gets the sympathy from the society(people are not blaming on her),recovery from this sexual assault is not as complicated as it is..

mas..

pregnancy due to rape is unexpected...but faith is faith...whatever happened,it is not the victim's fault...NO ONE has the right to have sex with you against your will...rape is not about passion and has nothing to do with love...rape is an act of aggression and violence....i believe that the society would understand...

"how can she stand with her problem while people keep talking about her pregnancy...?"

in my opinion,if she can't stand with her problem..it's not because of people are keep talking about her pregnancy...but it's because of the frightening experience she ever had as rape isn't just physically damaging,it can be traumatic as well...someone who has been raped might feel a lot of things:angry, degraded, frightened, numb,or confused...it's also normal for them to feel ashamed, depressed, anxious and nervous...

ok i agree with your opinion wawa..
(from that perspective)
but what i trying to say here is how about if no one knows about the tragedy?,we can say that her family and herself are so embarrassed to tell anyone including to make a police report. so ~no one knows~
but to hide the pregnancy, its difficult.now or soon, people will know that the girl is pregnant the unwed baby.
without know the truth, people always make their own speculation.
they might say that the girl having sex without get married first. so the baby is unwed baby.
according to this narrow-minded thinking, what can make them will feel sympathy to her? because for them, the girl is a bad girl.

but i do agree with your opinion.

it just my point is from another perspective.

emm...well,as we know, people nowadays always and keep themselves by gossips and so on...
unfortunately, the pregnant girl that being raped will be thought that she is pregnant because of having a sex with her boyfriend.then she might tried to tell people the truth. but,who will believe in her?...no one right..the negative speculative of people will kill herself.thus, she will standing in dilema for the rest of herlife...this is just my opinion. mybe i'm not right...

u alls,
the society consists of many types of people...for me,if the victim of the rapist told her situation to the society, i guaranteed that not all people would understand her...not all..there will be more who believes that the girl had a sex with the boys.sorry to say but Malaysians people is very synonym with their negative thinking. So,sometimes, there is no point for the victim to tell the truth because no one believes in her.

how sad it is...
